Why #droptheT is hate against the LGBT+

Article written by La Miranda

Transphobic groups have started to use the hashtag #droptheT as part of their war against the Trans community.  They frequently align themselves with religious extremists and heterosexual/cisgender fundamentalists.

They would prefer to have a LGB community with everyone back in their tidy pigeon holes.  History and life do not support their viewpoint.

The birth of LGBT+ liberation was led by activists, campaigners and people who were tired of being manipulated and walked over by a society made up of many who didn’t care about them. These activists, campaigners and people were primarily transgender women of colour, drag queens and butch identifying lesbians. Let this be heard:

GAY was an acronym for ‘Good As You’, and was about everyone’s equality and rights.

We must not allow this hate tag to split the rainbow, we are stronger together.  Some of us move between the categories during our life and we need our diverse family to support us.  Our Charities do not indoctrinate, they listen and support at times when people need them.  False accusations waste everyone’s time and resources.

If you are offended by the hate tag, look up who is using it, and report their account for gender discrimination.

  • I agree with you completely and like you add not only some ppl move between the variant groups within our community they are often a part of two groups, as an example a transgender lesbian or Pansexual trans male.

It also seems talking to some of these people they wish for equality for themselves but not others. This logic is hypocritical at the very least.
